This week in Science, Year 1 have been learning about food chains. Why do living things need food? And how do they get food? Year 1 have explored how nutrients and energy are passed from creature to creature. This is called a food chain. Food chains usually begin with plants and end with an animal. Year 1 have had so much fun exploring the many different food chains that this world has to offer. They have applied their previous knowledge of herbivores, carnivores and omnivores to help them. They explored food chains on the land, and even dived deep under the ocean to explore food chains.
Check out Year 1’s fun interpretations of ocean food chains. Can you work out the hungry living-things in each of our food chains?
