Today, Year 3, 5 and 6 learned the vocabulary for the parts of the body in German class … and then practiced them “in the doctor’s office” : “What can I do for you?” “Where does it hurt?” “Take this medicine …” (our “medicine” was hazelnuts) … all in German. Everyone took turns playing both the doctor and the patient. The doctor’s recommendations included taking temperatures with a real “Thermometer” and giving injections with a toy “Spitze”. One “doctor” was an online student. No one was left out, of course! This was a serious German clinic!
